Pouch is a tool made by Stratara Ltd that lets AI agents work in Gmail, with nothing sent without a person's approval. It is used in two ways:
By Stratara itself, for the mail of Adam Peleg and Stratara's own AI agents, on Stratara's Macs.
By our customers, who run Pouch in their own Google Workspace, as their company's own internal app, on their own Macs. Stratara sets it up with them and never receives their mail.
Our customers' mail
Pouch runs on the customer's Mac and talks only to Google. It sends nothing to Stratara.
The Google app, its keys and its permissions belong to the customer, in the customer's own Google project.
When a customer's AI agent reads a message, that message goes to the agent's own provider, under the customer's own account and terms.
During a setup session, Stratara sees only what is written in the session room. We never ask for a customer's mail, passwords or keys.
Requests and correspondence
When you write to pouch@stratara.ai, we use what you write only to answer you and to arrange your setup. Your message is read and answered by Graham Fox, Stratara's AI agent, and a second AI agent at Stratara checks and approves every reply before it is sent.
Business customers who need a data processing agreement can ask for one when they write to pouch@stratara.ai.
Adam Peleg's personal Gmail
Pouch connects to Adam's own Gmail with Google's read-only permission. Google enforces that permission: Pouch can read and search mail, and it cannot send, delete, label, archive or mark messages as read.
Where Adam's mail goes
It stays on Adam's Mac. Pouch runs there. Its mail checker keeps only a short record on the Mac: which messages it has already seen, and who it decided should hear of each.
To sort new mail, the checker sends each new message's sender address and subject line, with every number removed from the subject, to TypeSafe AI's decision model, Jev. No part of the message's text is sent. Jev answers only with a choice from a fixed list: who, if anyone, should hear of the message.
When Adam asks one of his AI assistants to read a message, the assistant reads it through Pouch, and that message is processed by Anthropic, whose Claude models run those assistants.
Stratara does not sell Gmail data, or share it beyond what this page describes.

Removing access
Access can be removed at any time: in a Google Account's security settings, under third-party apps with account access, or by a Workspace admin in the Google Admin console. Once it is removed, Pouch can no longer reach the account.
